Merry Christmas from Prague!
Yesterday was a wonderful day that consisted of great new friends and culminated in a friendly Christmas banquet.
Three of my roommates and I woke up “early” to join a walking tour of the city. We spent 2.5 hours learning the unique history of this beautiful place. The highlights include references to defenestration, the uneventful astronomical clock show, and derogatory jokes about the Swedes (who still have the Czech Renaissance art). We finished the tour and walked to Wenceslas Square, stopped for coffee and hummus at Mama Coffee, trudged across the river, and up a muddy hill through Petrinske Sady to the Strahvo Monastery. Unfortunetly, the library at the Monastery (our intended destination) was closed.
We wandered down past the Prague Castle, across the Charles Bridge and back to the hostel. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other and explore the city. Our walk include a stop for Trdlo. Good luck pronouncing that.
The night ended with a Christmas dinner celebration in the hostel and dancing near Old Town Square.
A very good day indeed.
Today I took my camera out to capture some of Prague’s beauty. Tomorrow I hope to see the library and inside the castle before moving on to Ireland.

Have a wonderful Christmas! We love you soooo much! 🌲🎆
